1 can of evaporated milk

1 spoonful of vanilla extract

- You need a container with teflon or a frying pan that can be covered and put inside a larger container.
- Add a thin layer of sugar to the smaller container and heat it until it’s completely caramelised and then let it cool.
- Put all the other ingredients in a blender until perfectly blended and poor the mix on top of the crystallised sugar, cover it well using aluminium foil and put it inside the second larger container in a Bain-Marie style, just put something in the base of the larger container (can be stones) so the smaller on sits on top and it is the steam in contact with it but not the water.
- Cover the larger container with the smaller inside and let it sit on medium temperature (barely boiling the water) for 1hr 20min.
- Let the flan cool down so the consistency hardens enough so you can turn it upside down on a dish, so the caramel sits on top covering the flan
